The Lone Wolf Howl

"What do you mean? Nothing is wrong. I am happy. I am really happy to be with you and to have you as my life thing. Whatever it is called. Soul life? I forgot. Sorry." Rebacca said as sh blushed trying to remember what the hell they were called now. ""I am really happy, just to be in your arms." she said smiling again.

"You sighed," Weylin pointed out kissing the blush that had rose to her cheek as if he was trying to make it dissapear, "We are life mates. You'll get used to it." He smiled knowing full well that they both had to get used to it. They were now one not two different people.

"Oh I was just thinking. Do not worry. I just need to figure out how to make everything good for me and you. I want you to have a good life and be happy with me. I don't want you to feel the pain that the world always wants to give you." the demoness said kissing his neck again. "Yeah life mates. I will learn to remember that one. " she giggled.

Weylin smiled welcomeing it completely, "I'll work with you. We may be able to stay in your home. I could make some adjustments and have it fully protected. That is if it would be more comfortable for you."

"You can't just do that. We have to go out and be in the real world. You need to understand that. I want you to see the good in the world, even if you have to see some bad." she said sweetly kissing him on the lips. "We will have to see everything but only let the good get to us."

Weylin looked surprise, "Of course love but do you want to have your home to come back to every night?" He was worried how much he could pull her out of her life and jam her in to his fast paced one. Of course she would change the way he did things but that couldn't stop him from running or holeing him self in.

"I will have a home anywhere. Anywhere can be home if I have you to be there with me." she whispered closing her eyes.

Weylin nodded sleepily. Tucking his arms around her. They had staid up all night just talking and making love and though that felt good he could have definatly went for some sleep. He kissed her shoulder softly.

The glass broke in the kitchen as a human hand banged against it. "Will you stop with all the noise." one of the two said smacking the smaller one in the back of the head. "Sorry boss." he groaned.

Weylin was awake instantly. As silent as a wolf he settled Rebecca on the couch. His feet hitting the cold floor with out a thud. He shifted his weight as he ran to the wall. His body, though unclothed, pressed up against the wall. He couldn't help but shiver as his skin came in contact with it.

'Sorry boss' two of them. He could get them out of the house easy. Then he reconsidered. Should he go get Rebecca and make a run for it or stay and fight. Hesitating he decided instead that Rebecca would make that decision.

Cursing him self for being so under dressed in a crisis he crouched down as he shifted. Lifting his toes to keep them from tapping on the floors. Silent as a phantom he slid in to the kitchen sitting down he barked or spoke.

"Welcome. Usually I have visitors by the front door but I can't be partial to a different ritual can I?" His yellow eyes shifted from one to the other and once to the cup that had shattered on the floor.

It was blue mug though now it was a shattered obstacle on the floor. Perhaps something for his advantage but for now he scrutinized the intruders waiting for there move or for Rebecca's.

"There he is. That is the dog that bit me." the man from the other day yelled pulling out his gun and aiming the the couch. He had saw the shifter put his girl there and knew she meant everything to him. "I will let her live if you be a good boy and follow me." the boss said pulling out a leash and coler.

"Boss if he won before, what makes you think he will not win this time." the younger and yet smarter man asked backing away. "You idiot do not chicken out on me now, or you are dead." he yelled pulling back closer on the trigger. "What is it going to be wolf boy? your girl's life or yours?" he asked laughing.

Thought after thought raced through his brain. Should he run to her? Block the bullet with his own body? He couldn't reach her in nearly enough time. The only chance he had was to act like the pretty little dog. Go along quietly for the time being.

Weylin let out a huff and nodded his head in glum defeat. Pacing forward slowly he sat a safe distance away to show that they were definitely in charge, at least for now.

His mind connected with Rebecca's as all life mates could and his thoughts whispered across her sleeping mind, 'Wake my love. I don't wish to leave you sleeping.' Plus there was two wolves against two humans. He had the odds. Except that Rebecca didn't fight. Even so he was stronger and had more wit it seemed then the both of them.

"Please leave her be. Your quarrel is with me," there was a hard glint in his yellow eyes even as his voice whispered out. Disguising the plans in his mind.

"Weylin." Rebecca called yawning and sitting up. She had to look around for what was like ten minutes before realizing she was in her living room . "Weylin, why am I in here, and why did you wake me up?" she asked standing.

"Well I guess our plan is not going to work." the boss said shooting the dmoness in the back as she stood calling her lover. Her body fell to the ground and a small whimper left her lips. "Now you get to suffer for biting me." the man said kicking the dog. "What the hell you do that for. I anit signed up for killing no one. I am out.:" the younger guy said leaving without another word.

Anger so ferocious that he ripped out the mans throat with out a second thought. Blood sprayed across the kitchen and covered the other smaller man, "No one hurts my life mate." Blood still sinking in to his fur he was beside her in moments.

"Rebecca, don't leave me," he wished so much for her to be alive that he felt himself slip away from his own body and enter hers. He wrapped him self around the bullet and pulled it free stopping the blood as his own body wrapped it's now man arms around her pulling her close to his naked chest.
